- Polly, they are in Port Gibson, MS... is that near you? Might pay to go see what kind of bargains they have in person! NAYY. Patti in Seattle From: snipped-for-privacy@backfortyquilting.com Date: Wed, Sep 12, 2007, 9:08am (PDT+2) To: Liquidation Sale at Back Forty Quilting!!!

---------------------------------------------- LIQUIDATION SALE: Unfortunately Cindi Greer has had to quit working due to the advanced stage of her Fibromyalsia, therefore Back Forty Quilting is liquidating it's fabric, patterns, books, and notions. I will be focusing my time and efforts on Long-Arm Quilting. I will still be selling batting and extra wide fabric for quilt backings. ALL fabric is priced at $6.89 per yard, including the new lines of fabric I just received this week! If you live within driving distance of Carlisle, Mississippi come and take a personal look at all the fabric we have - not everything is on the internet, yet! ALL BATIKS (Timeless Treasure, Hoffman and Benartex) are all on sale for $5.99 a yard!

---------------------------------------------- BOOK & PATTERN SALE: ALL books and patterns are 50% off! Quantities are limited to stock on hand. I will not be reordering books or patterns.

---------------------------------------------- CLEARANCE SALE: Don't forget to check out the CLEARANCE SALE (It's under the SALE button on the ONLINE CATALOG). There are some great deals there. Aurifil 28 wt. solid color thread is now $4.99 per spool. I have lowered the price of the 28 wt. variegated thread to $5.99 per spool(quantities are limited). Stock up on all your favorite colors. As usual, all sales are limited to stock on hand. When it's gone, it's gone, so order early and order often!

No, Patti. Back Forty is over on the other side, maybe close to Kate T. I've tried to support Back Forty since Mississippi has such a tiny few quilt shops and truly hate to see them close. Polly

Oh Crap. Losing another LQS. We just can't afford that in Mississippi. I was planning on driving over to the Back Forty next month. Guess I'll have to make the trip sooner. This will be an overnighter. Don't want to rush through the shop and miss something. And while I am gone my guard cats will be on the alert for a stash raid.

Very sad to see a good shop close. They had a book on sale that I have fancied for ages though. Since it was 1/2 price I bought another, to keep it company on the voyage over. Oh, and some more black/white fabrics for that quilt I have planned.... Thanks for the alert to the shop sale!

That's terrible ... so many LQSs closing. What's goin' on?? Are we not spendin' enough $$??? :-(

Or can this be placed at JoAnn's and the like's doors??

*nods* So I'll need to stock up on plenty of catnip and sardines ... gotcha. ;-)

Hi Jo,

Every cloud has a silver lining.

How are those new kitties of yours doing now?

The Naughty one has turned Nice, the Nice one turned Sneaky. Can't be bothered to change their names... they're still known as Poppy and Daisy. But their natures are showing now. Lots of fun, lots of consistent routine and cuddling and also scolding where necessary. They know the rules now, but are somewhat casual about enforcement. Poppy, the brains of the operation, knows she can't come in the kitchen, so she sits right at the line where the hall carpet ends and the kitchen lino begins. Sooo cute! Will update Webshots when I get 2 minutes to rub together. My mates and I went to the safari park at Blair Drummond last week for Elaine's birthday and that was dead good - lots of llama and donkey photos to share... and ones from our races down the giant blue slide....soon....

I must admit, I bought some stuff too.... can't pass those bargains up! I really do hate to see them close though, they are such a nice place to do business with.

Kate, make sure you report back on what you found!!
