Best photo sheets, best price?

I'm not intending to copy photos of a hundred of my closest relatives but I do like to be able to make a nice photo block now and then. At graduation, for example, I had great success copying the grad's invitation, her grad photo and her baby picture. It is a wonderful addition for a quilt label. The sheets I've found to be nice are Printed Treasures by Milliken. As a card carrying tightwad, the cost of those sheets does offend my delicate sensibilities. Everything included, I have paid what amounts to $

4.20 per sheet. Have any of you found a better 'delivered' price? Alternatively, have any of you found one that is even better? I tried some from the office supply and they would have made a sturdy patch for a tractor tire but defied puncture by sewing machine needle. I look forward to your thoughts, even if they have nothing to do with the question. Polly

Sorry, Polly, but I think Printed Treasures are the best. I have tried many different brands, and most of them could also have made a sturdy patch for a tractor tire. Have you tried their website

In the past, it was a few dollars cheaper, even with the postage, than buying from my LQS. The last time they had a special, 3 of us in the quilt guild split the big package. I use them a lot so I like to have a nice supply.

The only guild around here is the Society for the Preservation of TransFat in Gator Diet. Butterfly has sadly neglected those guys. Polly

I have found the sheets from Electric Quilt work well, and if you can find a couple of people to split one with, the BIG pack is also a much cheaper way to buy. NAYY

They have various packages of 10 sheets on sale at the moment for $12.49 - I did buy some of their silk sheets last year but I haven't used them yet so I can't give you a usage report.

I buy them on Ebay. I do an advanced Search for Printed Treasures and save the search and I get new results via email when someone posts them again. I have 8 packs of 5 in my drawer in there that I paid 7.95 plus postage for, each. :) Total of less than $12.00 each pack of 5 sheets. I think I even got like 3 packs from the same person and saved on shipping. They are 22.00 a box in the LQS which is the ONLY place locally I can find them. I just hoard them when I find them on Ebay. I too tried everything I could get my hands on before deciding Printed Treasures were the best. I have made thrown pillows out of then and MAN DO THEY TAKE A LICKIN'!! :) Great stuff.

Aha. Now there's what I was looking for. This is such a wonderful group. If there's a problem we cannot solve, I'm sure we can certainly assemble great refreshments for a pity party. Either way, it is always such a joy to hear from you all. Polly

Cheryl, I've been using Printed Treasures for some time now, but I'm curious about the EQ sheets. Have you used both? How do they compare to each other, especially after washing? Thanks!

No indeed. You cannot send lectricians. This is Katrina country. Lectricians are considered hawg fodder to the gators. Puleeze. Have some respect. Polly "Butterflywings" asked > Can I send an 'lectrician?

I was about as polite as could be under the circumstances. I did ask like I was taught: be mindful of others diets; you never know what they can or can not have.

So ya got any hawgs going hungry lately?
