So true! We see it all the time at the women's shelter. One of their clients was a woman whose husband never laid a hand on her, just constantly eroded her sense of self, told her she was worthless, the children were worthless, she ought to do away with the children and then herself to make the world a better place. She was right on the point of suicide when she came to her senses one day and escaped with the kids to the shelter. Very scary. Roberta in D
