guess what I finally bought today!

I finally did it. I have contemplating it in my head for a while now on whether to buy a Sizzix die cut machine. I have been looking on eBay but figured I would just tell my DH that is what I want for my birthday. Well, every week check out the ads for my LSS's. A.C. Moore had their Sizzixs half off this week! I went ahead and bought it! I got it for $39.99 regularly $79.99! Isn't that a deal?!? Now, to break the news to my DH later today. LOL.

That is a great deal! wow. Have fun with it. I've been thinking about it, but just don't know if I would use it enough for it to be a good choice for me;

Welcome to the die cut machine club Jennifer. That's a good price.

Oh, oh.....I see big trouble ahead! Once you are on the die-cutting bandwagon it becomes a runaway train. Hours trawling eBay and the net for cheap dies. Then there is the converter to source, so you can use sizzlits and other dies in your sizzix machine. LOLOL

You are right. I have already scanned through the die-cuts and I am currently "watching" 4 auctions. LOL. I did buy 2 die-cuts today. Each week they have a coupon in their sales ad for 40% off one item not on sale and an additional bonus (for me) is the coupon this week was for 50% off so I got one of the large die-cuts for only $6.99! I saved my DH a lot of money today. LOL.

ROFL! My sister and I exchanged emails a few weeks ago. I told her how my daughter had saved so much money by shopping around for her furniture (she moved out 3 weeks ago and her apartment is full of brand new furniture.... brat....) anyways, my sister said she saw in the Zellers flyer a caddy that held a few pairs of Fiskars scissors for $19.97. Then she picks up another flyer and see's Superstore has it on for $17.97. She saved $2.00 plus taxes by simply reading the flyers. Then she went on to say she didn't want they scissors anyways, which saved her the $20 she would've spent (including taxes, in BC they pay 2) so she was using the $20 to get her nails done. No wonder my sisters and I are all broke with that kind of thinking. LOL

I believe that scrapbooking supplies are bought on a need to know basis. And does you hubby really need to know? Lol! Have fun with your new toy! Barb:o)

Yes, I have caught myself referring to scrap supplies pointed out by husband as "that old thing" it's been around for years.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who does that. LOL. Ignorance can be bliss sometimes, huh?

Wow, that is a good deal! I just love my Sizzix. I also picked up the rubber backing to use my brass embossing templates on my Sizzix. I just need to get the plastic envelopes now. Have fun with it!

LOL...I warned you Jennifer....it becomes an addiction. When I am bored I find my way to eBay and search Sizzix/Sixxlits/Dies etc......ROFL I also have to chuckle when I see posts...."I saved DH money buying supplies in the sale/with 40% off coupon." I love your perspective on things but I doubt that DH would agree that spending $xxx to save $x is somehow a bargain......LOLOLOL Shout as loud as you like here but keep as much as possible to yourself at home!!!!

LOL Barb! I think that is a perfect way to put it! Hubbies don't really need to know! Or you can insert it in the middle of recanting your awful day....they never listen any way. So later when he says....when did you buy this...you say oh, I told you about that ages ago! Weren't you listening? LMAO

Oh believe me, I already do that! If he knew how much I spent on scrapbooking, I'd never have time to scrapbook because I'd be sitting by his bedside in the hospital after his heart attack. He knows I spend money on the supplies, but exactly how much, he has no idea. Now that I have created a monster with my 4 year old daughter with scrapbooking also, he knows it's more. I have to get doubles of some pictures for her scrapbook and stickers for her too. She thinks the new Sizzix is so cool. I showed her how the frames work with pictures and now she wants to frame all of her pictures. And she picks colors that do not match the photo but it is her book and she can make it how she wants.
