So I bought a Cuttlebug....

Hi folks

I finally got my first die cut machine, a cuttlebug. I was on vacation in FL and went to a Joann's in Orlando where it was on sale for $59.99 + taxes, but did I buy it. Nooooo!! I said I would wait until I got to another Joann's. Which of course we never did.

We then went down to Ft Lauderdale, to a Michaels store which had it but at full price $79.99 + taxes. But the craft god's were shining on me and they really wanted me to have the Cuttlebug. So they led me to the Michael's magazine $1.00, which had 2 coupons, one of which was

25% off any single item. So I picked the magazine, went to the cashier ( and did not take any lip when she told me that the coupon was not good for the Cricut machines. I politely informed her that a Cuttlebuy is NOT a Cricut despite being made by the same manufacturer ProvoCraft) and was able to use the coupon towards my Cuttlebug purchase. Things worked out to as if I had bought when it was on sale at Joann's. Yeah!!!

I am now about to try with Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders, but would like to try with others too. I have some Fiskar's Texture Plates and Darice/American Traditional brass stencils. Do I really need the Wizard Charm Kit to use the Texture Plates and brass stencils with the Cuttlebug?? Are there any alternatives??

Congrats on your new purchase. I can't help you with the Wizard Charm Kit. But your going to love your cuttlebug machine. It makes embossing so much easier but then again I am embossing challenged. LOL!
