Book coup

I always check the shop of used books at my local library for needlework and quilting books. Today, I found an old edition of Hargrave's "Heirloom Machine Quilting" for four bucks! This was one of my top two bargain hunts -- the other is the Reader's Digest "Big Book of Cross-Stitch Designs." I can get it used on the Internet for about 30 percent off, but I'm holding out for a single-digit price.

Woo hoo!

Atta girl, EP. Isn't it just Wonderful to discover a grand bargain on a book you really want? This week I've found a couple of cookbooks that are treasures - Kraft Foods and Hershey's. Mmmmm. FWIW, the nice doctor on Fox News Sunday morning said that if you are depressed, you should eat 1½ ounces of chocolate every day for 2 weeks for remarkable improvement. If you are not depressed, I guess you could listen to gloomy music. Polly

Good score!! So satisfying to find a good deal on a book! :) My latest find was a copy of the original 'Mastering the Art of French Cooking' at the Sally Ann - only $5!

Happy hunting, Allison
