Howdy!

Hey! Anything's possible. You've cyber-met our John A, he's a really Scooby Doo-er... but I ain't asking about any shorts, not in this ng's climate. ;-D

Took a quick look at the Surivorman site; yeah, whatever. A woman can take care of work, home, family, food, shelter, school, what we call our Regular Everyday Life, and still manage to quilt. Give a guy a similar situation and they turn it into a reality t.v. show, w/ cameras running.

Ragmop/Sandy -- enough reality in my life w/out t.v. cameras ;-P ..trying not to think about playing w/ cartoon underwear...

*snicker*snort* LOL !!!!

Just a few weeks. It was playing up on the heat, so DH dug out all the cat fluff, mumified spiders, brick dust, and other gak. Works just fine now...

I cleaned mine out last week, but believe it or not it wasn't too bad. I had to open it up to see if I could get a part back in place and while there used the air to clean it out. If it is opened for anything I always clean it out.

Polly!!! Don't I have enough to do with keeping up with the hair and muddy paw prints from four huge dogs all over the place and constant cleaning and vacuuming and mopping. Now I have to clean out the darn computer, too??? WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I don't *need* anything else to clean.....

We call them "dust bunnies," or, if they get really big, "dust marmosets."

He's doing great! Gaining weight so fast that I'm thinking he's eating the fatty leftovers the 'gators wouldn't touch! My mother thought I was feeding him cement! Just goes to show you that they do much better at home than in the hospital!

But, school's done for awhile, he's home safe and sound...so I'm coming back! My DD starts school on Thursday, but that's only for 2 1/2 hours a day on Thursdays and Fridays....and I've even been quilting!

Now I just have to do some picture taking!

A woman did a similar series show first. She wanted to show the realities of surviving in the wild because a certain "reality" game show was making surviving in the wild look like a game. It aired the second or third year of the game show. Anyway, she was dropped off on a small island with the clothes on her back and a camera (no camera crew) and used whatever she found. She caught fish, cooked it and ate it all with found materials, slept in poor conditions the first couple of nights, found a fresh water source, located some edible plants, and built a small shelter. It was a good series and showed a lot of good survival tricks to use, and some things to avoid doing. I can't remember the name of the original show, or how long she stayed on the island.

I think Survivorman is the result of a lot of people asking for a continuation of that woman's series. As to the woman, she had made her point about survival not being easy during that first series of shows and didn't feel the need to continue with a second year's series on her own.

So very glad to hear about the baby, Danielle. It was a worrying time, but now we can all breathe again. Take care, all of you. . In message , Dannielle writes

Susan, I have the same problem you have only mine has always been with books. I have been working in my bedroom for the last two days and gosh what I have thrown out is unreal. Nothing that is of any value or it would go to the church yard sale, but I have a couple of boxes for that also. My mother always preached to me if you put things up when you got them out and finished with them oh live would be so much easier. I am beginning to get the hang of it but I don't have it completely down pack at the moment. Getting there slowly. Tomorrow should be the last day I have to work on my room and then it is back to working on fun things.

Jacquel>Several of you have described my problem. I just jump from one project
