encouragement needed

Hi all - I've been reading the conversation for a while now via Twitter, and look forward to being around. But here's the deal for me right now. I'm disabled and have found a way to give back for the past three years by selling books on-line for charity. A charity's supporters give me their old books, I sell them if they're worth anything, and the charity gets the money. About the same time a friend introduced me to quilting and, well, you know, it was love. Now I want to give back by quilting instead, but still have 1700 books listed for sale on-line. Am working sooooo hard to get them sold or discarded if not worth enough (some even cost more to send than people pay for them and I am out money instead of in). But need encouragement to see it through. Any welcomes for a newish quilter trying to focus?

Indeed! Welcome to the best quilting group. Ever. :)

As for the books... Just keep listing all you can, and let us know if there are any quilt related ones via the rec.crafts.textiles.marketplace group.

Oh, and you might like to try a bookshelf quilt. ;P

Hi there! I'm newish too, and I am enjoying the heck out of quilting. It's amazing how quickly I've gained confidence with piecing. Now I'm going to focus on quilting skills, both by hand and by machine.

Can't you charge s&h on your books?
