I am making a two sided fleece quilt for my DH's 5 year old nephew as a quickie Christmas gift. On one of my business jaunts, I found wonderful Yankee baseball fleece and he is absolutely ga-ga over them. I bought that for the front and navy fleece for the back. I was going to do a white buttonhole stitch around the edges but am not quite sure what kind of thread to use. Help, please!
Fleece quilt - what thread to use?

Hi Sniggs, I would love to make myself a poncho and I was wondering what pattern you are using. I love the braided edge idea for the blankie.

My son was given a wonderful fleece blanket. Two layers of fleece. Bound with cotton fabric. Tied with yarn. It is very very snuggly.
For the buttonhole stitching...are you thinking hand or machine? For machine I'd use what I had on hand. For hand I'd likely use a thinner weight perle cotton.
