Happy Easter and update request

Good morning all

Happy Easter weekend to everyone! May the Easter Bunny leave each of you your goodies of choice! mmmmm...... CHOCOLATE !!!

Karen just posted an update from She in PA. We have many more long time members that we haven't heard from in awhile. Pami? Larisa? Frood? Jessamy? LN? Just a few that come to mind. I'm sure there are many others we haven't heard from lately. Check-in time guys! What's up? I know I don't post much these days as my quilting is very sporadic to non-existent and pretty much anything I have to say is off topic. Working from home and living out in the country leaves me pretty isolated, so I treasure having this group to check in with. There is life beyond my 4 walls!

Marilyn in Alberta, Canada Save the earth..... it's the only planet with CHOCOLATE!!!!

I'm here, posting less frequently. The craft fair is over and I'm finishing up a 1st Communion dress commission. Then I have to get to work redecorating the sewing room. I have the colors picked out as well as the new border (old dress forms on a cream background with black trim) and will be working on it as it gets warmer.

I am already expanding the product line and will probably end up putting things up on Etsy eventually as well as selling to some specialty shops.

The children are doing well - we had an Easter Egg hunt for them in the back yard and they went completely bonkers with it! DS took time to scan the yard before we let them out, so he found most of them, and DD relied on mom and grandma to help her find some, but still, lots of fun. We did it Saturday so that we could get to church for the Cantata without too much silliness. Today they got their baskets with toys and very little candy.

Hubby is now sick (this makes 10 weeks in a row that someone has been sick) and is taking it as usual - miserable and grouchy and annoyed - but he is staying home tomorrow, so I will try to keep the children away from him for most of the day so that he can rest and recover.

Other than that, not a whole lot has changed. Schools are still an issue, but the school year is nearly over. DS will be participating in a gifted/talented summer program for a week - he chose French as his first choice and Spanish as his second choice, with Art last (only 3 options for his grade). The joke is that he's following in my footsteps

- I didn't want to study Spanish in school because *everybody* was taking Spanish, so I took French and loved it! I didn't learn any SPanish until we moved overseas, and then it was by immersion, so I picked up local dialect and everything. I will be doing summer school with both children again so that they don't lose anything over the summer and will be better prepared for next school year.

I think the only real break we have from everything is at the end of May when we will be heading to WV for camping (dog going with us). It should be fun, and hopefully, I'll remember to take a picture when DS catches a fish!

Larisa, still healing and building strength, but at least there's no thyroid problems....doc gave me okay on tests and doesn't need to see me until May..wooHoo!!
