Hi Tiina and welcome back! Are you still involved with the preemie quilt projects? I remember sending some blocks your way, many years ago. Glad to see that you found your way...... (used to be "a Canadian in Panama City FL")

I haven't been here either, can't remember when was the last time I really read messages from here...

HI I'm still doing the Preemie quilts and about six months ago I started collecting school supplies for school kids in Afghanistan. The Finnish troops have built several schools and they help us to deliver the supplies to the kids. We are collecting 1500 pencil cases with pencils etc for a girls' school near Kabul right now. Don't know how long we will be able to continue but we will do what we can ;)

The preemie quilts are still going to about 5 or 6 hospitals all around Finland. We also try to send them preemie sized socks.

It's great to be back!

Could you perhaps set out the requirements for your quilts? There are lots of new people here, including quite a few in Europe, so we might be able to help. Anything special about the socks? I have an address for you in Espoo. Is that still correct? Please e-mail me if not - address above is usable. I should be able to manage some pencils too. . In message , Tiina Kujala writes

I remember you - Tiina with two i's. You used to ask for preemie quilts for the babies in incubators or something, didn't you? I'm glad you are back! Pull up a chair, get a cup of tea and some chocolate, and start helping us quilt! (I threaded some needles for you....)
