Christmas Card and a big Hello!

Hi everyone!

I have missed hanging out on the board! I am back now. I have been reading the group but just haven't had a chance to post. With all the Christmas shopping etc done I am hoping to participate a little more. BUT I wanted to let you all know that your post are very inspiring and insightful. Thanks to all who have been posting!

I finally had a chance to scan in my Christmas card for this year. Here it is:

Great to see you back, Marilyn. I think we all need a break from the fast lane now and then. A time to re-group and re-focus. Wishing you a Happy New Year. Sandy

Thanks Sandy....autumn and winter is hard going for me for various reasons. Just seemed to be worse this year somehow!!!! I did post a thank you to Dave for my package and belated Christmas wishes to everyone a couple of days ago but no replies back. {pout LOL }I guess people are still caught up in holiday activities and grabbing a few spare minutes here and there to come online. Hope you and yours had a reasonable holiday......although I know that you would miss your Mom terribly this year. {{hugs}}I thought of you, as the anniversary of my Mum's passing is Christmas Day....makes it tough every year :(

Anyway...that is now passed and I am looking forward to the New Year with increased enthusiasm. I have been looking at re-organising the craft room....bought some new paper storage yesterday....removed most of my LO's from webshots and I am going to join two page spreads etc. Would you believe I had run out of space....LOL It was the individual cards that took up the space not the LO's. I may join four or more cards together or find somewhere else to put them. Everything in time!!!! Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

Take care, Marilyn

Thank you. I'm making a few changes today myself. Just took a break from hanging wallpaper border around the dining room. DH painted it over Thanksgiving break. His way of coping is to stay as busy as possible and that makes me as busy too - trying to stay one step ahead of him. His idea of rose walls and mine were not quite the same. I ended up with pink walls in the dining room. The border breaks the height of the wall and takes away some of the "pink." DD and I whitewashed the built-in corner cabinets. They were a very dark stain and in no way matched the rest of the molding. I grew up here and never did like the dark room. It's definitely lighter now. My next task is to stencil ivy down the sides of the corner cabinets. I've never stenciled before so this will be a challenge for me. DH just started painting the woodwork in the kitchen so I'd better get back in there. Lord knows what he might do if I don't keep an eye on him........... Even these little changes are helping me so much. Sandy

Hi Tammy and welcome back!! I know what you mean about missing here. I sorta hate being gone or overworked where I do not have time for a daily "fix"!! Ya'll can be a real hoot, or heat (hee hee!) at times.
