When I was going to PT in CA (we now are in AZ and I'm back in PT and OT) we would drive past a New Life Church and I would send a prayer up for you.

Find a place with the eight foot long folding tables. (I own my own which live in the garage but move into the living room when I need to pin a quilt. Having them in the living room is a good incentive to work fast. Someone may want to sit down in the living room and no space is left is I put up the tables) Two tables pushed together are good for a twin but you need three to do a queen. The secret is to cut extension legs from PVC pipe to raise the tables to a not so backbreaking height.

Use the size diameter that will easily fit over the leg the table. I cut mine 11" but you decide what height you want the table. I paid $.50 per cut and had the cutting done at the hardware store. Buy an end cap for each piece and glue one on each end. Having the end cap isn't necessary but will prevent the cut edge of the pipe from snagging carpet or scratching hardwood floors. Slip the open end of the pipe over the leg. It will stop at the crossbar along the bottom of the pair of legs. You won't believe that it will be stable until you do it but it really works. Now you can tape the backing to the table, smooth on the batting and top and pin or baste away.

Invite a few friends over to help pin (baste) and you will be finished in no time. Wish I could send you pictures of my PVC extensions. Maybe someone else in the group has them and can post a picture for you.
