help buying on ebay

Good morning ladies

I'm turning to you all for help with an ebay item.

I saw these two items on ebay yestarday and I really really like them.

I have tried contacting the seller about shipping to Spain (she will only ship to the US) but I keep getting a message from ebay saying

We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.

So, here's my question; would someone living iin the US be willing to buy all 5 sets for me and then ship them to me in Spain? Obviously I will cover all expenses (duh!). I could pay you through paypal or however you prefer.

Am I being rude/presumptious here? If so, please forgive me; I certainly did not intend any offense.

Thanks!

CLaudia

I would be happy to do this for you. E-mail me and we can "talk" about it further. It's the least I can do to repay you for hosting GeoBear :-). Also, I don't know what the others think, but I don't feel it is rude or presumptious of you to ask this. We all know you and I, for one, know you are trustworthy :-))). CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Hi Claudia,

The reason you can't contact the seller easily is because eBay does everything possible to keep buyers and sellers apart until they've actually completed a transaction.

Otherwise, you might engage in a transaction off the site, which would result in no dinero for eBay. Of course, the fact that the majority of buyers might have legitimate questions, and want to ask them BEFORE they make a purchase, is apparently lost on them, and they've turned the process into a scavenger hunt for buyers trying to find the right page. You are not the first person to ask this question. I've seen it on numerous other forums, multiple subjects, but lost buyers looking for something that should (and used to be) easily accessible.

When you go to the Contact Seller page, click on Other. It will pop up with a statement saying "we couldn't find an answer for you." It might list some answers if they seller set up those parameters. Just keep clicking through. Hit the Continue button, and, after 3 unnecessary clicks -not to mention coming here to ask the question-, you finally get to a message page where you can send an email to the buyer via eBay's messaging service. Oh, no. No way you're getting that email address. ;-)

Don't forget the verification code, which is not visible when you're typing your message (you need to scroll down).

Best regards,

oops, my apologies. I see they've blocked buyers outside the US and that's why you couldn't get in.

But thanks for letting me rant. LOL!
