I need help sewing faux fur trim on to the edge of capes. I did sew it on to the edge of 1 cape and it was a pain. The fur kept getting caught in my presser feet. I have 2 more capes to do. Any suggestion on what to do?

how about some tissue paper or cling film or glad P&S on top to tame the fluff?
Are the "toes" of the presser foot getting tangled in the fur? If so, it might help to wrap some tape around the outside of the toe part of the foot -- kind of like putting a sock on the toes of the presser foot. Just regular old cellophane tape should work. If you have a roller presser foot, you might try that. A roller presser foot looks like this:
