My Dad's was on the 18th so we always had a BIG TO-DO for his HB : ) Then when we started the Family Christmas Reunion Parties--party wasn't over until we had his Cake and Ice cream. (Had the proverbial re-light themselves candles so each grandkid got their turn to help Grandpa Whiskers blow them out) NO other desserts were 'allowed'. Now we have a niece (17) whose HB is on the 27th so the HB cake tradition continues : )

You could 'celebrate' a .5 HB like my co-worker did --she was born on Christmas Day. We had a party for her in June--and wrapped her presents in Christmas paper (Christmas paper was a tradition--fortunately her Mom always kept extra for us to use ; ) We even sang "Happy UnBirthday" Had dessert first then the main course--we did let the Restaurant Manager know ahead of time what we were doing--he pulled out Christmas trimmings for our table (small town). What a delight for her. Hope you're having a superb week.
