i guess after 30 yrs here where we have no dangerous animals, no bears, no snakes, no gators, no crocs, only one spider i'm aware that might cause ya some annoyance if it bit ya, no wild cats, i'm just not overly fond of the idea of gators (having read the damage the crocs do in oz, those two are the same in my book) in/near/around anywhere i might wanna be or wanna go. nope, nada, no thanks all the same, ttfn, so long, good bye folks, thats all she wrote, jeanne

Yeesh, that reminds me ... about 6 years ago, my sweet Buddy (part Black Lab, part chicken), the same dog who's terrified of plastic bags and eraser tips on pencils (no joke) actually treed a WATER MOCASSIN under a car. Those b*****ds are the deadliest critter we have! My goofy booger was actually trying to PLAY with the durn thing. It took all my strength (he weighs about

They sorely need somebody to come inventory those harmless lazy gators out there. We could check on salary and benefits for you. I don't think they've ever needed a retirement plan. Polly

Are you kiddin' me? Even *I* can't eat THAT much gator meat!
But I sure would love tryin' ... kind of feels ... neat ... to eat a predator and give those poor cows, pigs and lambs a break! ;)
But really, we've got enough gators here in FL ... we went to hubby's home stompin' grounds about a year ago (near the Glades) ... and I was shocked at how many we came across on the beaten paths.
Maybe ya'lls are meaner, though ... ours are damned lazy and slow. If I had a nickel for every time that I had to sit and wait for one to cross a road, I'd own my own fabric company!!
Or maybe ours are ya'lls on vacation - maybe instead of bein' lazy they're too busy looking for girl and drinking $5 beer. : /
