It's so wonderful to be a part of the group where there can be such an outpouring of love and concern for members - most of which we will never meet!!
Tom is MUCH better - quite back to his normal self, in fact! However, it is a fast mover and has decided that Bek needed to get it as well. She is running a fever today and says her whole body hurts and she really doesn't want to eat. Not a problem...she has had some raspberry flavored tea and has asked if I will make her lemon tea with honey in a little while. She did manage a couple spoonfuls of oatmeal and some diced pears, which is good for a child that said she wasn't hungry, but I'm not forcing solids on her today. Right now, she is bundled up on the couch watching My Friends Tigger and Pooh and not looking much like her normal vibrant self (which, if she's sick, is a good thing).
I was supposed to go grocery shopping today, but that will be delayed until after dinner when both children have had their baths and are in their rooms (this is why I *love* 24 hour grocery stores!). Meanwhile, I will be spending the morning (after I dump emails and finish waking up) cleaning the upstairs and spraying Lysol over everything, particularly those things that we ALL come in contact with. Once she is in her room for nap time, I will be doing the same thing downstairs - if Ken or I get this, it's going to be positively miserable around here.
I'm hoping to get to straighten the sewing room a little today, but if I don't that's fine too...really just needs a tidy up, pack up scraps for Jill, and finish 2 sleeping bags (that will only take about 20 minutes as all the serging has been done already). I'll be back here later tonight to say hi and give a Bek update....right now I'm in the mindset of "nobody said parenting was easy" combined with "I hope I don't end up with Mono again with all this running around and very little sleep." Ah well...life and children....and no, even when they are sick and miserable and taking it out on everyone else I wouldn't wish them away.
