Just updated my webshots album

Finally got around to taking photos of my summer projects. I have been working on these since April. The first two will be donated to my guild for the small quilt auction. The basketball quilt will be heading to China in October for my DB's new son. It is king size, so the photo only shows part of the quilt. The redwork quilt was made with more of the transfers received from a good friend. The embroidery was done last winter in Florida, then assembled at home this spring. My DSIL works in Wollaston Township, and arranged for the commission of the crest. It now decorates the township office. The scrappy double Irish chain was made with "leaders and enders"

The sheep quilt will be going to a distant cousin for her new baby, who is expected sometime near the end of the year.

Love your quilts, Susan!!! I love seeing all the different quilting motifs and techniques on your quilts.

I have been slowly making time to get some quilting done. I had the day off today and instead of cleaning up the garden or the million other things that "needed" to be done I quilted all day instead. I "needed" that!!

This summer I read about "leaders and enders" on RTQC. Was it in a post from you, Susan? I was just thinking today, as I used the "leaders and enders" concept with my quilting, that I should find out who put the website link in this summer that explains it so well because I need to thank them and lo and behold I read your post tonight!! I just think it's such a productive and neat idea! I can't wait to have enough scrappy squares and pairs to make a full quilt like you did with the Irish Chain!!

Beautiful work! I love scrappy, and that Irish Chain just sings in a fine clear tenor. Roberta in D, Queen of the Scrap Heap
