Those panel quilts you're going to donate are just adorable, Susan! And I really like your Stack n Whack, too. Did you do the quilting yourself? It's really nice! :)

DH gives me "the look" any time I suggest sending my quilt tops out! I must say that I am enjoying the quilting as much as the piecing, and love trying new designs.

Good luck on your trip; y'all be careful and remember: you can ship extra stash to your Canada home. Btw, which route are you taking north, and which day will you be in which city/state?

All the more credit to you for doing your own quilting! Nothing wrong with sending things out, but I agree with you -- quilting is just as much fun as the piecing, once I decide what motifs I want to use.

Very productive, I'd say. My goodness, girl, you have been busy. And making the most darling things!! Are any of those dragons up for adoption?

Whow Susan, You certainly have had a busy and productive winter! I particularly love Leaders and Enders 1. Great work .Lovely quilting too! Do you do much PQ in the summer back "home", or are you in need of a break! lol

I think I do more quilting during the summer - house is air conditioned, and my sewing room is in the basement - the coolest place in the house. Also the majority of my stash is there on shelves, just waiting for inspiration!

We head up using the following interstates: 95 to 26 to 77 to 81. We don't plan stops - just as the whim hits us, although I plan to make a slight detour to Lancaster on April 14th.

Last year on our way home we went via Ashville NC, driving past Lake Lure. I also use my quilt shop directory to seek out new shops. We've found some great ones in Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Sorry, they've all been adopted by a loving 13 yr old!
