Hello all

if all has gone according to my plan you should be able to see the progress of my "sweet bag for Elizabeth" here

've not had much time to add blurb to it (for which many may be thankful). Cheers

Oooh ~Joanne,

that is pretty! Is there some raised work in there? Nice job.

I love this design and admit that I bought the magazine just so I could look at it often. How long have you been working on it? Your work looks fabulous!

Gorgeous. Long time since I`ve done that kind of work, unfortunately - I used to love doing it.

Many thanks Carol, there's not raised work per se, but there is lots of padded, very well padded, satin stitch.

Hello Jeanine

I did the course on this on 18/19 November, and have spent an hour or two on it most days since - some days more and some days not at all depending on whether the lawn needs mowing or the floors need washing! It was not until a couple of days ago that the whole design began to 'come together'. The tendrils on the design are a pest to do, but really do add the finishing touch to the work.

Joanne

It's absolutely lovely work and a lovely design. I'm amused by the design because I designed a piece for the EGA MC program and it is very similar.

Dianne

WOW!

That is a great design. I have not done that much surface embroidery but, I have done enough to appreciate the time and skill it takes to make it look that good. How will you do the finishing? You said it is a sweet bag so are there going to be any small treasurers to go inside the bag?
