So, I just had to visit the Scarlet Thread's Open House sale. Fortunately, our good pal, and enabler, Donna, had suggested she would be there late in the day at 4:30. When I arrived at 4:35 - she'd clearly been there for a bit ;^) Good idea - the late in the day thing - kind of limits the damage you can do.
So, I got 2 Drawn Thread Charts - which I love: Love and Wisdom, for which I also got the NP silk - with Donna's help. Ms. Donna did a great job searching out appropriate colored dyed linen - and we hit one immediately. Some beautiful Lakeside Linen in the Vintage Maple Sugar color (and since I had to buy a 1/4 yd cut for the length, we may be sharing). Great eye that gal has.
Donna got some great stuff herself. After the pricey chart buying, I put back the gorgeous Amethyst linen that I just wanted. That's my version of self restraint - jeez, I'm pathetic.
OK - now, hear me. I'm done. No more stash for a while. A long while. That's my December commitment. Finishing Summer Garden - maybe tonight. Finishing the wedding sampler, and my welcome sampler for the house. Then, I'm going to start the Love and Wisdom as soon as the Summer Garden is done. And I'm also going to get the fabric edges prepped to start the pumpkins - but they're waiting for a while to get started. I'm going to try and be resposible. I'm getting to close to SABLE - though not there yet. And I'm going to finish the Irish Chain Lap Quilt. And one baby quilt. And then do those darn scarf/stole things.
But not more stash for a while. I'm actually starting to feel a bit guilty. Must get job. Must send out new resumes. Saw really appropriate and intriguing job posted by Canadian Embassy - for this one, I'd drive downtown and go back to work full time - and , I mean, they wouldn't want me to wear panty hose? So, will at least hope for interview. Hmmmm.
No more stash. Been too enabled already. Darn it. Too bad DH is so nice about it - he actually was apologetic that we were busy and I couldn't go sooner.
OK - sorry for the little attack - I'm better now.
