finally some photos

A couple of you have asked to see my jewelry. I've posted three photos on Yahoo. I *think* I've got the permissions set such that you call can see them. You'll have to click the Next button to display each photo. I apologize for the poor quality. These were scanned for me by a friend some time ago. If you are interested, there's a detailed description of each necklace below this link:

The first photo is the very first necklace that I ever made--blue sea glass, seed beads, and sterling. I was really proud of this necklace because the double-strand sat perfectly when I wore it, but if you look closely you can see it is flawed. I made it the wrong size, so I had to add a couple of extra jump rings at the back of the neck to get it to fit "just right." OOPS! I've since replaced the clasp and jump rings with my favorite All Wired Up hook and eye, and I'm happy to report that the necklace now looks great.

The second photo is one of my earlier attempts at wirework. It's not really a good example of my typical wirework necklaces. Usually, I work very hard at making all of the scrolls, etc. exactly the same size. But in this case, I decided to let the tumbled chips dictate the shape of the scrolls. I still enjoy wearing it. It's hard to see, but there are seed beads to the side of each piece of fluorite, and they sparkle a bit.

My last necklace includes the first lampwork beads that I ever bought. It's a very simple set of green beads. I paired it with the palest of pink rondelles (the green seems to bring out the pink) and some small green and silver spacers because of the "dots" on the lampwork. Several people have offered to purchase this necklace from me, but they are not getting it! _______________________ Peggy

The blue green one is really nice - and then I saw the green one! I'm not really a green person but I'd gladly welcome that necklace into my wardrobe. :-)

You are so great! Thank you. I'm going to have to find a way to get myself to Wm. Holland next summer and sign up for one of the intro wirework courses--and maybe one on metal clay, too, if I can spare the time.

I am working on another bead and wire chain that I designed myself. It's very simple and looks light but is very strong. So far I've just got a "pencil sketch" made with chips and craft wire. When I make it out of sterling, I'll try to post it so that you can see it.

P.S. Notice I sent this to the correct place this time? I am learning all SORTS of things ;-)
