What are we designing with our Bead & Button beads?

So...I'm curious. Those of us who went to the B & B show, or RCB'ers who have new beads in general, what are we designing with them? I am doing the following: 1. Re-strung a necklace of leopardskin jasper with a teardrop faceted black onyx pendant bead I bought at B & B. 2. Will make a lampwork bracelet with pink/green and pink/white lampwork beads and Swarovski and Bali. Lampwork is from Mavis Smith. 3. Have to finish the Stephanie Sersich Spiny Knotted Bracelet I started in her class. 4. Will make a memory wire bracelet with Czech glass I bought from Eclectia and charms I already have. After I finish these, I can start on the beads I bought for ME. Yay!! What is everyone else doing?

Patti, sorry to have missed you at the show. I have finished my Viking knit necklace and have nearly finished my twined and beaded basket. Next will be my kumihimo necklace, then my ginkgo brooch.

Having done my homework, I have three Scorpoi pansies and matching leaves to create something wonderful with. I also bought some kits to learn techniques from. Bought lots of Delicas, a bag full of mixed glass goodies,Italian mesh ribbon and keep dipping into the bag to find lovely bright beads.

The temp here is 3 degrees so I need the colour.

Cheers, Jan

Hey Patti (I owe you an e-mail reply yet, too)

I finished my Spiny Knotted Bracelet and have plans for most of what I got at B&B - I just haven't had time to start anything yet. Came back to over 200 work-related e-mails and a whack of deadlines. Next week and over the holiday weekend should be full of creative time.

Hi, Patti!

I didn't get to B&B (copious tears!), but I've been making simple necklaces with one lampwork bead as a focal, some sterling or Bali, a couple of crystals, on the SoftFlex 925. Boy, I so hope they get back up to speed with that soon! Anyone hear any scuttlebutt at B&B?

I bought Kalera's Emerald Cove set. While I was on a mini-vacation at the end of last week I found a bead shop, and bought a couple of strands of simple, small emerald green beads and clear beads. Then I found some silver Bali (or Bali-like) short, tube-shaped spacers. I'm planning a necklace, but I'm not sure yet if I've got everything it needs ... I have to lay out all the beads together first. This is my favorite part of the process. I love design!

I designed it last night. I measured and counted to be sure I have everything I need, and now just need to get an evening I can devote to putting it together. It should go together fast, so now I'm impatient. :-)
