A long time ago someone posted a site of quilts made from old shirsts that are flannel. I remeber it talkingabout going to the thrift store on 1/2 price day and buying the xl mens flannels. But I cant find the site night. There were tonns of scrap quilts on that sight. My sister loves that look and I was hoping to find something for her for a gift... the local thrift store is having 1/2 price day today lol

Carissa, I know this isn't what you were looking for....
but the LQS here had a class this past week... I wanted to take it but things just didn't work out.
But they made Christmas stockings out of an old flannel shirt! They were absolutely adorable! They kept the pocket on the front and they "buttoned up". They were really cute.
Just thought this might be another idea for you.
