Malvern 2007

I think the little round huts have gone! I was over earlier in the week, and there was no sign of them. So, Unless they appear before tomorrow, we won't have one to meet 'in'. So, just keep an eye out for a group, my large red, grey and white umbrella with RCTQ labels on. We will be near the small covered area where they sell the catalogues and the wooden kiosk where they sell the tickets - probably on the coming in side of them. Hope it will just be showers!!

I was delivering my quilt! It's called '1728'; and, if you guess why, I'll give you a fat quarter >gg< . In message , Flossy writes

My guess is there are that many pieces in your quilt. Launie, in Oregon

No! Sorry Launie, that's not it, either. . In message , simpleseven writes

Well, merely take the cube root of 5,159,780,352 and you get.......1728

How about 12 cubed (12x12x12). The quilt could be cubes?

You got it!!! Well done Sally - the quilt is indeed twelve cubes: the 2005/6 RCTQ BOM done with 3" blocks! (I'll put a picture up on my new Photo site, as soon as I get organised). I have your address >g< Well done! . In message , Sally Swindells writes

Wow ... 3" blocks - it nearly killed me doing the 12" ones! I'm looking forward to your new site so we can see all the lovely things you have been hiding away.

I thought the answer would be mathematical and not the date I have to remember to put after the '0' when people ask my full telephone number (it's our area dialling code). 1728 is engraved on my brain - now it will be in pretty blocks.

Well, the blocks were set with diamonds, instead of regular sashing, so that they looked like Tumbling Blocks. So you did guess right really. Fancy it being your dialling code >g< . In message , Sally Swindells writes
