Hi all, sorry if I've missed this already, but is there a plan for those attending to meet up this year? I owe Pat a cup of coffee and a sticky bun and am hoping to repay her at the show. I've been snowed under recently at work and haven't been able to read the group for a while so I may have missed arrangements. What day are people attending? I'm getting excited already!

I'm not there this year - I'm going to the NEC instead, on the Thursday. As the big shows are longer distances and involve overnight stays, its only one a year.
Looking out of the window it looks as though it is thinking of raining - remember the rain last year!

No, you haven't missed anything Jo! We hadn't started talking about it yet - but, it's only two weeks away. As you and some others are working gals, I suggest we make it the Saturday again? Same time - 1.30pm? Same place - in one of the little 'huts' near the entrance? Just in case it is raining - who could forget last year's mud. Yuk!

No I haven't been before and would love a meet-up. We are staying with DD in Nuneaton and training in.
Wish I could manage more than one day, but have to get back for Carnival Weekend as we are both involved in it.
I think exhibits will be first port of call - but where to start will be difficult.
I am prepared to be overwhelmed!
Hint about this dilemma: get the ticket(s) in advance; (I can give you addresses etc if you don't have them) Get there the minute they open; buy a show guide; have a coffee and scour the show guide to see the special exhibitions, and where the various competitive categories are.
That will only take half an hour or so and you will be sitting down, but will save ages in aimless wandering. One day needs planning! The easiest place for a meet-up (in case you want to meet up with anyone) is the Quilters Guild desk. It is facing you as you enter. At least it has been so far!! .
