RCTYers in Northern Illinois

Hello Friends,

Just wondering how many RCTYers are in northern Illinois or eastern Iowa. I go see my daugher, Tammy and John and of course Ava and Max!!!! They live in Davenport Iowa.

I have been a little busy and hope I have not missed any special days.

Things have been a little better with Gail. Nerve damage can not be reversed but, she is trying a little harder to keep mobile. With our problems if you sit down and do nothing you will soon loose all mobility.

Yes I signed in with my google account. I don't use this computer much just keep it around for a back up in case my newer computer crashes. Both are hooed to the internet.

Hope some of you are close.

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail

Cheers to you Laura,

I played foot ball in LaSalle-Peru and Moline. I went to Sterling Township High School in Sterling, IL.

Before I went back to college I worked out of Troy Grove on the Chicago and Northwestern Rail Road.

I know the LP are pretty good.

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail

Small world. I lived in Moline from age 6 to age 12 and I still have several family members in East Moline and surrounds.

I'm originally from Tampico, IL! What a small world! Wouldn't it be interesting if you were on one of the opposing teams when my older brothers were playing football?

I now live in Freeport - about an hour and a half east of the IA/IL border. We moved from Tampico to Stockton, IL - after I went to college in Denver, CO my parents moved to Wisconsin.

I still have relation in Tampico, Rock Falls, Morrison and Stockton/Warren.

Lori,

We live about an hour east of you!!!

I have relation in Morrison and Sterling yet. I go there often. Gail says to often.

They have a knitting group in Rockford. The info used to be in JoAnns on East State street.

This is rich!

I get to that JoAnn's periodically - am headed to Rockford this afternoon. I've not found the best deals on yarns at any of the JoAnn's, but somehow find the right time for sales at Hancock's, Hobby Lobby and Michael's. I DO, however, manage to come home with armloads of wonderful fabrics from that particular JoAnn's - they have a much better selection than the one we have here in town.

If the two of you would like to meet somewhere, sometime, for a cup of coffee, let me know! I'll be there! We can compare notes on who-knows-who..... Just send me a message offline.

Have a great week-end!!!!

Lori,

That would be great!

Gail is a master seamstress also. She has made me 3 piece suites.

I plan to be at W.R.Crafts on Monda at about 1 or 2. They are going out of buissiness. I purchsed sport weight yarn at about a dollar a skien. I took home over 60 skiens and about 25 skines of sock yarn.

It is on the corner of Alpine and Riverside, Next to CUBS food.

Gail said coffee would be nice. She is in a wheel chair now so entry to the building would be important.

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Noreen

P.S. Noreen you and Don can come also :)

Does your mother Knit?

Dennis,

I've been so wrapped up in Commencement this past week that I've hardly had a chance to breathe, but it's over now - I came home yesterday and slept all afternoon and evening.

I'll be in Rockford Tuesday afternoon if you and Gail would like to meet me for coffee?????? Send me a message offline to this address if you'd like.

Noreen - any time you plan on being "home" in Illinois, let us know and we'll get together. As an honorary "Illinoisan", I think that would qualify for a celebration - don't you?

Love & Hugs,

Lori
