Red carpet?

What's this? Not a word about it yet? I rose early this morning to slake my thirst for dress gossip and nobody in here cared to lose a word about the most recent Academy Awards. OK, so I'm first to bring it up. But I have to say that I love Salma Hayek's dress; and does Helen Hunt's have to look like that - creased? Or is it just a typical H&M trait - cheap material badly processed? Otherwise I liked it. And do I need to say it again - I hate the colour nude; it looks just that: Nude. Ah, the emperor's new clothes...

Well, I have to stop here, my nose is running and a really bad cough is racking me. We all have the cold here, DD, according to the doc, the 'real flu', DH and I only a very bad cold. We're all on the mend but, hell, we could have done without it, trust me.

The usual number of "What were they thinking?" but my goodness, Robin Roberts surely is a knock-out. So proud of her. What did you think of Barbara Streisand? Polly

Seth MacFarlane said he would not host the Oscars again; at least, that's what I read and only hope it's true. I have watched the Oscars since they began on TV and I must say he is my least favorite host over all the years. He wasted so much time showing his talents( if he had any at all), it took away so much of the enjoyment. Now off my soapbox and back to sewing.

I found a few scarps of Pooh Bear scraps this morning and there is just enough fabric to make an outfit for little Nicholas to wear home from the hospital after he is born. My DGD and hubby love Pooh Bear and have the nursery decorated in the original Pooh Bear décor, not the newer Disney one. I did not realize there was a difference, but that's what they said. For my shower gifts, they have already received the lamp, diaper stacker, a crib mobile and a wall poster. It's like deja vous; these are the same thing I bought a younger DGD in 1999 when she was born.
