OT- how cold/hot is it where you are??

OK, it's 17 degrees here, up from 13 this A.M., light, slippery snow. I'm freezing, having just come in from filing the bird feeders. Have a lot of woodpeckers out there now, grateful for the new suet I'm put out - the large, red bellied ones are such fun to watch, it makes the trek out to the backyard worth it. I'm hoping I don't have to go to work tonight, but I doubt that they'll close. Roads are very bad here, wish me luck. So, how cold is it where you are? Makes me feel warmer if your temperatures are colder than here. It's too cold to cut glass.

It's been lovely here the last several days, highs in the 70s-80s with some light clouds just to tease as rain. I think Sunday our high is supposed to hit 90. I'm going to enjoy every ray of sunshine that I can, cuz Wednesday my DD and I leave for a week in NYC (she's singing with her choir at Carnegie Hall!!!!) and I know the temps there have been downright frigid. Brrrrrrrrr!

Oh, and about bird feeders....we have our official harbingers of Spring....red-wing blackbirds! I love their song and they're so pretty. I heard a few two weeks ago, but this past week they've been in every field around us.

And yesterday I heard our first mockingbird.

Oh Patti Patti, I hesitate to answer this question (and yet do it anyway. LOL). I have had the a/c on for four days now -- hot and muggy here, 80 degrees expected on Monday. A few days of cool down over the weekend (I hope). My allergies are going bananas, but it sure is pretty.

Much love - Becki

almost hate to tell you, we had 85F yesterday. Hilo being the hot spot in the state is a rare occurrence. It's been dry for a week or so too, which is also rare, though it does happen in El Ninos. And if the bit of clouds we have now is all we get from that front that's coming through I'll have to water the plants ....
