I did not watch the Oscars, but I finally found a slide show:

were "IN", big, HUGE pouffy bottoms were in. Angelina Jolie! NO one should look that gorgeous. Her dress and jewels were stunning. I think Natalie Portman's pink dress was vintage, it was lovely. Anne Hathaway's was amazing. But my favorite was a shimmery, clingy, silver number, worn by Leslie Mann.

Melissa George's corset dress was a disaster.

What was Sarah Jessica Parker thinking???

I'm surprised Kate Winslet didn't find something a little more flattering.

Whoopi Goldberg...Whoops!

What's with all the trains? Did the carpets need to be swept? And all the "wedding dress" ones.

Good heavens, yes, S. J. Parker was a desaster! Did you ever take a look at her hands? They look ancient! And her face... Well, I guess it's got to be botox and lifting or you're out of business in Hollywood once you passed the magic expiry date of 25. Well, I found that that Hannah Montana kid was absolutely overdressed. How old is she? And, yes, definitely too many 'brides'.

Hey, I liked what Phoebe Cates was wearing. And Glenn Close was dressed perfectly, just right for her age and the occasion. But both might have done even better with something sparkly around the neck. Brangelina did show how it's done, elegant understatement. Do you think that those were real genuine emeralds?

U. - No, I'm not envious, not the tiniest bit. ;-)

I was thinking the same thing!!!! There were several that looked like wedding dresses......all they were missing was the veil. Several flops. I liked Meryl Streep's dress, I just really wished it had some COLOR to it. The cut and the fabric (jersey I think) was great. But it was such a boring color.

Oh dear, I made a huge mistake. Of course I meant Meryl Streep's dress, and that might have done really well with some stunning sparklies.

U. - Oskar? Whosdat? ;-)

Oscars? Oscars? boring. We were watching the PARADES!!!!!

Olwyn Mary in New Orleans.
