UK meet up?

You've possibly heard me mention our forthcoming trip to the UK and Ireland in Sept/Oct from Oz. I respectfully invite anyone who wishes to meet up with us for a coffee/LQS hop to let me know. I have been working on the itinerary and it looks vaguely like this:

Fri 23-26 Sept Fort William, Scotland Tue 26-29 Sept Elgin, Scotland Sun 02-03 Oct Lakes District, England Wed 05-07 Oct Gloucester area - meet up with Megwen, planned in Bath Sat 08 Oct Meet up with Pat on the Hill, Shropshire Mon 10-11 Oct Dublin Ireland Wed 12 - 24 Oct Travelling around Ireland

This trip is sounding so much fun, it is such a privledge to meet up with some of you 'gals' in your home country. Likewise, I would be delighted to host a visit from any of you Down Under one day. Please, please, soon...

Cheers Bronnie

What fun! You sound very organized and ready for adventure. I wish I were stowing away in your suitcase. I'm hoping to get to Scotland in November to visit DD while she's student teaching. You'll be gone a whole month! Wow.

We'll actually be away 5 weeks! Down Under is just so far away from anywhere, if the time is available we grasp it with both hands . My girlfriend in Austin Tx says she is amazed at how easily we travel. To be away for more than 2 weeks is more than she could contemplate. (I'm still trying to get her to come over to Oz but the long flt puts her off.)

over 24 hours flying time. Aussies just grit their collective teeth and bear it! What a pity we will miss your possible trip.

Bronnie

Bronnie, I may not get to the destinations here in the UK, but I will be in the Sydney area in November!!

Moira

Great Moira! I see you reside in the UK. Hope you enjoy the trip Down Under. Sydney will be lovely in November. I'll wave to you from the Gold Coast (1 hrs flt nth), Bronnie

We are going to Sydney for our son's wedding, he met and became engaged to Hillary over here, she is a native australian and the best future daughter in law you could ever meet, a really lovely girl. I made them a wedding quilt, and it arrived in Aus on Tuesday last, she was in tears, she thought it was so lovely, this lady wears her heart on her sleeve, she got me crying too on the phone...

If I know my son, he will have planned to take us up to the Gold Coast, not too sure.............. a definite possibility though...

That's exciting -- a wedding! What a thrill about the quilt; what pattern did you use? (Or maybe there was previous post on this and I missed it because of my family commitments lately.) Your son might be too busy planning his honeymoon to think about the Gold Coast! Anyway, you know where to holler, I'll be home late Oct. Cheers Bronnie
