Does anyone know of a quilting store or fabric store that providee lessons in Wimborne,Dorset England? I have started to hand applique an easy version of a baltimore quilt. It is thoroughlky fascinationg. Hand quilting is sooooo relaxing ceegee in boca.
I have found that one of the best ways to find someone to teach me a technique is to ask around at church. No kidding! There always seem to be people who do whatever it is I want to learn -- often ladies over age 60 -- who are generous with their time and expertise. You can learn something wonderful and make a very good friend at the same time.
How do you do it?! I did a long search and found nothing!
perseverence and heaps of empty time to fill up. a whole mess of luck too, lol. fwiw, i googled "UK Dorset Quilt", that led me to various places til i found the right one. when needed i always put the country code first, then state/shire/city/etc. add to that one generic word and the rest is easy peasy. usually 3 words will find most anything you need. jeanne
