NASCAR fabric

Specifically Kasey Kahne. Has anyone seen either Kasey Kahne fabric or fleece? Our Project Linius chapter has received a request from one of our hospitals for a Kasey Kahne blanket for a patient that is admitted quite often. I asked if generic NASCAR would work, but they said "No, it has to be Kasey Kahne!"

Thanks for any help anyone can give me on this.

Guess it would help if I could spell my own organization - it really is Project Linus (not Linius)!

Several Linus coordinators have suggested that we get a Kasey Kahne tshirt and make a tshirt quilt. I don't see why that wouldn't work, especially if we used generic NASCAR fabric along witht the tshirt.

I can't be any help with that search either - but for a great 'go with',

has Nascar racing black and white checks, both the small ones and big wavy ones. Those checks are also fun for any of you who have a spot of Yvonne Porcella in your heart. Do not approach that site without lots of time and the certainty that you will spend some money. Always an enabler and would love to be affiliated, Polly

Hey Polly, I've already bought some of the wavy racing black and white checks. Some of it just about makes your eyes cross. We've used it in several Linus blankets.

I love Marshall Dry Goods - I've managed to spend quite a bit of money there.

I know nothing about him, but I'll bet if you could contact him and tell him what the request is, he might just give you a shirt he's worn. Think how happy the little child would be!!!!!! Gen

You could also make pieced alphabet blocks spelling out the driver's name. Or use bubble jet set to print a picture of the driver and car onto plain fabric fro the quilt. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Hi, Googling on Kasey Kahne, I see that his store has throw blankets available. I know it may not be as much fun as designing a new quilt from a t-shirt. However, if you count your labor as worth $$ than it is not much more expensive. YMMV.
