need an idea!

I'm mostly been working on quilting recently, getting some things finished and making progress with others. Having finished one and almost finished another (about half an hour hand stitching remaining) yesterday, I'm ready to get my teeth into another top. I'm thinking wall hanging size, but I'm stuck for ideas! Any suggestions?

Hi Anne, I have just posted a link to Northcott page of free patterns

- there are some excellent ideas available there. jennellh (change the mail to news)

interesting, but they all seem to be based on a particular fabric selection, I really need to do this mainly from stash.

So tell us ... what's in your stash?

true, but for most of those quilts, a lot of the beauty of them came from a particular fabric cut a particular way, I may revisit them when I have more time to plan.

a mixture, a love fat quarter, so I have a fair few of those with varying patterns and colours, but, then it's mostly florals, with the odd paisley thrown in.

I've now figured out what I'm going to do. I found I pattern called "15 bean soup" in a recent scrap quilts magazine, they have the background as brown batik, but I've switched that for a tone on tone green with small leaves, then I'm picking out whatever works. It should be pretty simple as it's only HSTs and 4 patches, arranged in a particular way.

And perxactly where would one find this said stash? Do you know where it all is? For the first time since last June I can say that I know where mine *is*. It's a nice feeling. Yes, Ragmop knows too :)

Butterfly (who did not say a word about a STASH RAID....this time ; )

Howdy!

Patterns are just ideas. Seldom have I completely followed a pattern the way it's published, and never have I used *just* the fabrics featured. You can do it, Anne. Pull out the stash & your imagination. '=)

Ragmop/Sandy--with more than enough ideas... ;-P

I use quilters cache. I like to just sit and browse the pictures because I like them so much, but you can also search by size of block or alphabetically. She always gives you good directions and pictures of finished blocks. A-1 site.
