Home from Retreat!

I love retreat! Just got back from 4 great days. I finished all the bits and pieces for a black and hand dyed quiilt top, the main blocks were a Carol Doak BOM series from a few years back. Just have to arrange them all, add some borders and do the quilting.

Made the final block in another Carol Doak BOM series. Still have to decide how I want to finsh them. They are a scene from each month. I have in mind some kind of a wall hanging wherein I would change the scene monthly. Must do more thinking! Anyone have any suggestions?

Started quilting on a red and white Jacob's Ladder quilt, made from exchange blocks some years ago. My thread and machine were not being friendly with each other, I'm hoping to get that sorted out soon.

Also got some serious quilting done on my nephew's HS graduation quilt.

It is good to be home, great to have been gone.

Is the Carol Doak one the BOM from a year or so ago? I mounted mine to make three-monthly wall hangings - they are in my picasaweb thingy, one in 2009 and the rest in 2010.

I did them double sided as they hang > I love retreat! Just got back from 4 great days.

That doesn't sound like a retreat. More like someone in the cavalry blew the bugle and you Attacked. What a lot accomplished and what fun. Did you sleep at all? Polly "Mary in Rock Island IL" Yes, those are the same ones. Yours turned out really well.
