I made quite a bit of progress on the BOM (all anchoring straight line quilting and some free motion, blanket stitch secured 2 sets of 20 quarter circles, and have two more sets all cut and pressed and ready to go (out of 12), and I got advice on the hand quilting (the center of the dresden plates is large and needeed some filler). I really liked being there, especially because I managed to have a great spot in the 'longhouse' where some very nice quilters were, including a winner of a hoffman challenge, the co-presidents of the guild, the woman who is organizing next year's show, and for those who remember her, Loren who used to be in this group

and Toni, her friend, who is a lot of fun! Most of these were younger than some of the quilters in the other working areas, and less traditional. I won a door price, got FQs, bought some interesting stuff from the 'bazaar' - cheap leftovers from other quilters, and mostly bonded with other quilters... there were 94 of us there! drquilter
