Going to a retreat

I'm going to a scrapbook retreat this weekend put on by the LSS in the gym of the local VUJC. It's suppose to run from 9 am Saturday to 2 am Sunday morning and start again 7 am and run till 1 pm on Sunday. I won't get there until around 3 as DS has a soccer game in the am and a football game in the early afternoon. They said we could bring air mattresses and stay the night in the gym if we wanted. I know I'm only 22 miles away, but at 2 am I don't think I will feel like driving home so I'm staying. Sandy

Air mattress!! That sounds like fun! You're right... I don't think you'd want to go back if you even found the energy to drive home.

Sounds like lots of fun. I'm with you, I wouldn't drive home, either. With your productivity, I expect lots of LO's to be shared. :-)

That is great and hope you are taking those LO's you showed me and want to add to or whatever. GHave you benen doing any thinking at least o them? Hum, hum, hum, I need to know LOL!

The retreat was lots of fun. I only completed 11 LO's, but I took three classes during the retreat. One was a three page LO that was included in the fees. The other tow were add-ons, one a two page LO with two cards and the other was a clipboard class. I didn't think that was bad as I didn't arrive until 4 pm due to soccer and football games - it started at 9 am that morning. We also made a trip to the LSS on Saturday evening to shop with a discount and did a make-n-take gift box there. They gave out lots of goodies. I won three door prizes - a mini album, a LO kit and a large baggie full of die-cuts. When I arived, there was also one of the All My Memories Craft Totes on the table full of coupons, a 6x6 accordian album, ribbon, stickers and tags. Everyone who came received one of the totes. When I get a chance, I'll post some of the LO's and class projects.

Sounds like you got lots of goodies Sandy. Was you able to get any sleep that night on your air mattress?

Wow, thats a lot of prizes and goodies! Sounds like you had a great time and was very productive! Can't wait to see what you did? I'm curious too...how was the sleep over?

Not so good. Remind me next year if I go to just get a motel room. The air mattress was an older one and when it has a fat old lady with bad knees and a bum shoulder on it even rolling over was the pits. Let alone trying to get up again. At least I only attempted to sleep about 4 1/2 hours. A few friends and I were just talking and scrapping and didn't realize the time. We finally turned in at about 2:45 am. I much preferred the retreat at the barn or the one at the cabin in Gatlinburg. Everyone had bedrooms with beds on site. Other than sleeping araangements I had a great time. Sandy
