Funny MC how you posted a new alternative. When I checked the group all that I saw at first is posts from this. then as I read them all I could think of was how emotionally charged the whole thing seems to be. WOW!!
This is what crossed my mind, why does it matter WHERE. As several of us know from other meets, two days is REALLY tight.You do not have hardly enough time to sit and talk, get to know each other, see all the work, share, etc. That is not to mention going anwhere to sight see or eat. That takes a LOT of time and logistics to do not to mention extra money. The real purpose of wanting to have a meet or go would be to get to know our "family".
Irregardless of where it is, I will not be able to go as March thru May is really bad for me as that is my company's busy busy time of the year. I was though more in favor of somewhere like Indy or Louisville anyhow as it seems there is a large group of us from the mid states area to there, as well as one that would be in Orlando. Plus not taking into account the cost of airfare, the rates of lodging and food in that area is somewhat cheaper than many other places. st Loius would even been another fo my choices.
Anyhow I think it is a really really super idea and as the ones in here that have gone before and have mini meets with me even, it is time well worth spent getting to know and see what we all do. So if at all posible when something ata GREAT price is fronted, GO!!!!
Just my thoughts and I do not man to be biased, but again take into account the REAL REASON!
