I've just made a quilt using the 'Thrifty' block. Please...does anyone know anything about this block, where it came from, when it was first used etc?

Blockbase shows a "Thrifty" block which is a nine patch with 4 patches in each of the 4 corners. Is that your block?
It is attributed to the KC Star 1939.
