My friend Gaye and I have come up with a plan to take "Quilters' Neighbourhood" and the Bible Blocks on-the-road. If you're interested, and you're in Canada or the Northern USA, drop me a line! Yikes...what have we done? [Or maybe we're just plain nuts...my elder son says "A road trip in a hot-flash powered PT Cruiser?... no, I certainly don't want to come too!]

Northern USA? Does that include Minnesota... Michigan... and Maine... or are you limiting to Pacific Northwest? Maine is northern USA -- but a far cry from British Columbia.... You may want to clarify your range (like maybe 300 miles from.... or something like that!) Otherwise that PT cruiser could be on a cross continental tour! LOL

Yes, the PT Cruiser is going on a cross continental tour. As for whether we will be LOL, that remains to be seen!

oh my goodness, Kim. when do you plan to start? what direction you heading first? how long in any one place? are you going to open your stops up to guilds for a paying visit to cover some expenses at least. they might also put you up for the time with their guild, give or take a couple of days to see their local sights. i considered at one point buying a big RV type vehicle and taking stuff to sell/teach/quilt with folks along the say. this went down the drain when i found out i needed a land address just to register the vehicle in any state. tis ok to be a us citizen born and bred, have money in the usa still and want to spend it there and see the country as well but ya gotta live somewhere there first, other than the mobile vehicle that is. oh well. sounds like the bestest time in the world what you're planning to do. ....in a heartbeat, jeanne

are going to be included in an article on Bible blocks in one of the major quilt magazines this summer, so we expect that will generate some interest too. Yes, we're suggesting that churches contact guilds, stores etc. to see if they want to share the cost with classes. Otherwise, most churches will take a "love offering" to help us on the way. Women's groups [Women's Aglow, Christian Women's Club etc.] and Senior's Homes usually have a small speaker's fee as well, so we should have one or two "paying: gigs. If it's a coffee evening, some will also sell tickets: when we did the Patchwork and Song evenings here, we sold tickets for $7 per person to pay for coffee, tea and a bit for Gaye's airfare. We won't make money, but we probably won't go broke either.

Or we could just be totally insane...who knows?
