New kitchen curtains!

Took about three weeks of evenings and weekends, and finally replaced my "temporary" (couple of years worth) plastic tablecloth kitchen curtains (very raggedy) with real curtains!

Basically, it's "summer quilt"--no batting--but done in a "quilt as you go" fashion, sewing the strips directly to the muslin batting, then sewing the blocks together, and then using strips to cover the seam on the front.

All 30's repro fabric; all reflecting the colors of the plastic tablecloths I was using (which I really liked): red, yellow, green and orange. (The walls are yellow and red).

First time I've really played with a quilt as you go summer quilt---but have now started playing with muslin blocks and scraps to do an actual bed summer quilt. This time I think I'll put the sashing strips on the back......

It's like waking up to sunshine every morning! But I have to keep telling myself: I don't do curtains I don't do curtains. Now aprons...that's another story.

They're great little piglet, just great.
