My latest quilt

Sorry for the poor picture quality - there was so much sun in the room! This is a quilt I made for my new office, since I work at a college I thought a library quilt would make me look smart :) It was a combination of 'free hand' blocks, along with some designed on EQ6, then some of the blocks were embroidered. It was a lot of fun and has been getting a favorable comments from the coworkers.

Really cute and so perfect to go with your work. No wonder you're getting favorable comments!

That is really nice (and I do think it makes you look smart - just my opinion, of course!).

How on earth did you know when to STOP ? So many opportunities to add this and decorate that; I suspect somebody would have to take it away from me just to make me put on the brakes. And how did you do the clock? Your quilt is wonderful and yes, indeed, it does make you look smart. Polly "Louise in Iowa" <

Thanks, Polly. The clock is an embroidery design (just like the little picture, the potted plant, the cat, the bird, etc) so my Viking Designer 1 did it :)

I hooped the finished block and the challenge was aligning the design so it was ' just right,' that is, looked as though the design were sitting on the book, or a little over the edge of a book, as in the case of the teddy bear. It was a really fun project.

You did such a wonderful job, Irene. It's just perfect for an office and I bet you are getting tons of comments and compliments on it. Well done! Donna

That is just darling! I love it. Well done. Bronnie

Very nice! Those little added bits of embroidery makes it all yours!

That's just awesome. I think I may have to add that one to my list, too. How fun to make a bookshelf filled with all my favorite book titles. But I think what makes this so perfect is your personalized touches. Love the kitty. He just looks so smug and happy there on top of the books. It's just perfect.
