Nann's Winning Quilt

Here is a photo of the winning quilt, before it was quilted. The quilting is just diagonal lines through the blocks.

the "2005" folder, at the end. Of the two quilts that sold, I have a photo of one: in the 2005 Webshots folder, "Scraps Along the Road."

Thanks for your kind words!

What wonderful quilt! I browsed thru your albums and just love what you've done with scraps. I'm inspired!

BTW, what block is in your Homespun Challenge? I don't think I've seen that before.

Absolutely wonderful! The occasional stars are just right! Roberta in D, Queen of the Scrap Heap but I may have to give up the title

I don't know the block name. It was published in a miniature quilts book that one of the women in my bee had. We challenged ourselves to make the quilt. The others made miniatures. I made it full-sized. (13+" block)

You can see the beginning in Dawn's Blog (2/21 entry)

then Julie's and Barb's miniatures, as well as mine, in the 3/2 and 3/5entries.

Nann, your quilts are LUSCIOUS! I really want the pattern for the Contrary Scraps quilt. Where can I find it?

No pattern -- I used the Contrary Wife block and hundreds of 3" squares.

What we can do when we don't want to start to work. . . . I not only checked Dawn's blog but I copied her Baked Oatmeal recipe. We will have company Wednesday and Thursday. The oatmeal looked like a good breakfast for Thursday morning.

Thanks, I will search for it. That was just the kind of quilt that makes my heart go pitty-pat!

That looks like a variation of one (or combination of some) of the Railroad Crossing blocks. Block Base has several different blocks with that name, one with the 9-patch center, one with the 3-rail units (but out to the end of where the color patch is). and so on.
