AZ Sunrise top

I think I showed you part of one of the projects from my trip to quilt camp this summer, but now I've finished the quilt top. It's a Lone Star variation, with NYB blocks filling all of the diamond shapes, designed by Deb Karasik.

The quilt pattern showed it squared off before adding the border, but I decided to keep it octagonal. That meant completely redrafting the borders, which I accomplished in EQ6 with lots of help from Patti Anderson and Barb Vlack -- both EQ6 experts, to put it mildly. I'm now trying to decide how to quilt this one -- deciding on that is always a difficult part of quilt-making for me!

The third photo down the page at will show you the top.

Thanks, Mary! :) It's all paper piecing, so it's lots easier than it looks.

Yup -- that's exactly the problem, Carole. I can't ever figure out exactly what I desire -- but I know I want to quilt it. LOL!

I'm delighted by your border fabric choice. I struggled for hours today trying to decide which one was just right for my current project. It's not easy; will make or break your quilt. You did good! Polly

Wonderful, Sandy. I just love that outer border! The middle is beautiful, too, of course >g< Heaven knows how it can be quilted. I know I would just quilt something stunning in the plain blue squares, and the rest in the ditch!! But, I'm sure you'll think of something lovely - you always do, even if it takes a while. .
