So exciting! I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Southcenter area in Tukwila? There's a new Quilting / Sewing Outlet store there - and it's just awesome! The owner purchases last years lines, and then sells them at greatly reduced prices. I bought 3 yards of fabric for $11 because I took what was left on the bolt and received an extra 20% discount. She just opened in November and is very, very nice. All kinds of fabric for $3, $4 and $5 a yard. She also has LOTS of discontinuted books for 50% off suggested price. There is also home dec fabric, as well as garment fabric. The store is huge. She's hoping to get some classes going by August, after she deals with the city requirements, permits, etc. It's on Andover Park West, right next to Dania furniture. Her web address is

OOOOOOOOOOH, thanks for letting us know about that. I'll have to take a trip up there sometime soon. Wanna meet for lunch or something sometime?

Absolutely! I work during the week, but my territory is right down there around Southcenter, so I could easily meet your for lunch.... just email me at room2moveATwebtv.net and let me know when you'll be in the neighborhood. You know they have an enormous JoAnn's there too......

interesting! I'm sure someone told me about this on Monday, but I completely forgot about it, or maybe they told me about another quilt store I've completely forgotten about!

Also interested in a meetup...

I don't live anywhere near there, but I sure appreciate the web address to the shop. There are interesting links there!

Awesome!! Thanks, Patti! That's just down the street from where I work!! I read Jenn's response - can I come to lunch, too?!!

Okey dokey! We've got to figure out how we can all get together and go to lunch and go check out the new LQS! There's tons of places to eat around Southcenter.... tiramisu anyone???

OOOOOOOOOOh, yeah. Can we plan it for after Easter? Is that enough notice? On a Saturday works really well, too.
