New Pictures

I just updated Webshots. The first 7 quilts in the 2008 album are my entries into the Kingston Show. I also re-made the dragon quilt, and sold it at the boutique. Won't know how much I made for a while - have to give them time to get the books balanced. With 2 guilds at the same show, some things are divided equally, and some are designated for one or the other. I've never had to deal with the finances so far.

Susan, those quilts are fantastic! Your blue ribbon was well-deserved, and I love the way you did that mariner's compass to depict the changing seasons. Wow!

What a feast for the eyes, Susan! You have such a wide range of quilts in your repertoire--everything from applique to scrappy. I must admit, I'm very partial to the scrappy styles, so Tracy's Garden and Every Which Way really, really appealed to me. Oh, and Proof of Global Warming is both adorable and hysterical. I love it!

Thanks for sharing!

Lovely quilts Susan, as usual.Congratulations. You havent changed a bit either.! I am just doing the maths to see if I have enough scrappy squares cut to do the lovely scrappy with pink and black, Scrappy Furrows!

Thanks Sandy. It was fun pulling fabrics from my stash!

I have made more scrappy quilts in the past couple of years, than in all the years I've been quilting. I had a huge bin of "scraps" set aside for future use, but never used any of them. DH threatened to throw out the bin if I didn't make use of the fabric. I found Bonnie's organization system on

and started to get my bits organized. After 3 years, the bin is empty, and I now organize scraps as they occur. I save 3 sizes of strips and two sizes of squares, and when the box gets full, I find a pattern to use that size. "Every Which Way" was for sale in the show, but I was happy that it didn't sell, as it will go back to Florida for use on our bed there!

I can't take total credit for the idea - DH and I saw it in a newspaper. There was no credit for the picture, and since both DH and I chuckled when we saw it, decided it was perfect for the Humour Challenge!
