You're too hard on yourself, Sunny! This is beautiful work. Granted, sometimes things don't work out the way we expect when it comes to transferring our work from paper to fabric, but you have a great start. I'm envious of your drawing ability.
Wow! That is really effective. I look forward to seeing her as she develops.

Your "best go" is pretty impressive! Can't wait to see her finished.

Sunny, it's great! When you say you are going to stitch alot, do you mean that you are going to thread paint your drawing? Or quilt around the block and face itself? I can't wait to see the finished artwork. Donna
Thanks for the nice words. I'm really excited about this project. Donna, I'm not sure exactly what direction the thread will take. I'm not going to stitch her face. Too scary. The pieces and parts are tiny and don't need needle holes. I probably will add some wisps of hair with thread, and will use shimmer thread for the snow/ice she's blowing out of her mouth into the world. Her gown will be stitched and painted/penciled for color. It's mostly going to be folds and shadows. The rest of her world will be ice, blowing wind and shimmers of snow. Lots of thread work. LOL. I'll probably get it all done but the wind swirls and that will be the actual quilting.
I did find something that probably everybody else already knows: I needed to cut the face, hair out and put it on the background but I dreaded cutting it out. So I soaked it gently (using a soft brush) with Perfect Sew. When it dried, the cloth was stiff as a thick piece of paper. Very easy to cut and be very precise. If you wanted to, you could just rinse the stuff out. Beings how this is never going to be washed, I'm leaving it as is. No water needs to be put on this.
Thanks for the support, Sunny (I didn't know I could draw anything -- give it a try, you might have it hiding inside you, too)
If I could draw like that, that's what I would be doing all day every day. That is beautiful.
Cindy
