NTM quilting notions

has anyone used these yet? what did you think of them? any probs or concerns? new to me and i think they look pretty useful for both quilting and applique designs. the trio looks handy. 4 lead refill colours too. tho i think the pink and green would be sufficient, showing up on light or dark fabrics.

must keep these in mind if/when i get back to usa. have to add these to the list of things to keep in mind. nayy j.

Jeanne, I just bought a similar product (Bohin) and really like it. I got the white for use on dark fabrics as I have evolved into using a plain old lead pencil for light fabrics. I haven't washed this piece yet but this marker is a thin chalk (like a pencil lead) and I expect no issues. I've never had a problem with the lead pencil markings either. Don't recall what I paid and didn't look at the prices on your link. However, I think this will easily replace all the other marking tools that I've spent countless dollars on over the years.

Hi Jeane--I bought one of those and gave it away. The mark that it made was way too faint, and I couldn't see it. I bought it to mark quilting lines. I think they'd be very good for applique, though; but I don't applique.

I'll agree that the line is faint - at least with the white which is the only color I have. But it works for me. I've gotten to where I mark as I go so it's not so bad. Not sure that it would work overly well for marking an entire quilt at once. But maybe, depending on the fabric. I have noticed that alot of marking tools work better on some fabrics than others.

Yes,both of them, and I like them both. I really like the glue pen for applique (i usually do 'glue turn' rather than needle-turn:))

I love mine! I'm busy looking for a couple more colors of the leads so I'll be able to use it on everything!
