Blues applique BOM, first block is up now.hmmmmmm, i'd do this using a bit of reverse applique i think, like i did on mymonarch butterfly. a couple others there in progress as well.

found this, not 2008 but the 'April 2007' block twist'n and turn'n the units in the block around makes 4 different blocks. could make a lovely quilt make'n a few of each block using colours in different places as well as the units. its got 4 patch in corners, 4X flying geese, 4 rectangles and a square in the middle. could be all planned out in coordinating fabrics/colours or could be a good use of all those scraps we all save up for use somewhere, someday. :)) groggy in the heat and humidity in the south pacific, j.
